Hands to Larger Service is one of 12 national pilot projects for Canada's new Canada Service Corps. In this workshop you will learn all about Hands to Larger Service - the structure, and its goals and how it fits into Canada Service Corps. You'll also hear inspiring stories of 4-H youth who, in the spirit of true civic engagement, rolled up their sleeves this summer and contributed to creating lasting legacy projects in communities across Canada. We'll also provide information on how 4-H leaders can engage their members in next year's Hands to Larger Service program and help build a culture of service in their own communities.
Positive Outcomes:
- Attendees will take away new knowledge on the impact Hands to Larger Service can have on youth who participate in the program and can take it back to their own 4-H members.
- Attendees learn how to engage their 4-H members in community service within their own community.
