4-H members are well educated in parliamentary procedure and meeting managment, however the challenge is to engage these members as they age out of the program and become young professionals. Non-profit and industry association boards are in need of diverse opinions, and that includes young people!
This presentation will give practical tips and strategies on how to engage young professionals in governance and examine how mentorship and experiential learning contributes to successful board placements for young people.
Positive Outcomes:
- Practical skills on how to mentor a young person on a Board
- How to intentionally recruit young people
- How to structure a meeting that allows more input from everyone around the table.
